Opening night of the Seattle Symphony in the newly renovated Benaroya Hall featured Yefim Bronfman (filling in for an ailing Yuja Wang). He performed Rachmaninoff’s huge 3rd Piano Concerto, making it look easy! Fun facts: Bronfman was the pianist who helped the Seattle Symphony choose their 9'‘ Steinway concert grand years ago! Also, soccer is his favorite sport, and when he was younger, he was usually chosen to play goalie due to his height!
